Animal Success Stories

Many animals have come through our doors in the years we have been priviledged enough to do this work and for that we are very blessed. Many of our adopters have asked to include their own personal stories of the animals that they have adopted from our organization and we were happy to give them that chance.

Meet the animals who have found new homes and families who will love them just because.

My name is Penny and I was pulled from our high kill pound when my time ran out. My new adopters saw my photo on Petfinder and contacted the rescue offering to give me my forever home! Now I am home with them in CT with my brother Graham a lab mix :o)

Pipsqueek (Katrina pet)

.Hi, Sarah: Thank you for letting me adopt "Pipsqueek" AKA "Prints", which of course is a play on words which expresses his status and power--PRINCE! Now for the GREAT NEWS!! He was a hit with everyone he met. He took a long napon Dave's lap on the drive from Ceres to Abingdon, so he was rearin' to go with playful antics at Dave's mother's farm in Abingdon. She adored Prints! He ran around the house for almost 3 hrs. He ate well and used the litter box--bless his little heart. Then,he took another nap in the car on the way home to Wytheville. When Dave left my place, I had to literally pry Prints out of his hands to keep him here with me. Ha! Ha! I know where you can find another person to adopt a cat!!! Then, Prints slept all night with me at the foot of my bed and did not wake me up. He is absolutely wonderful-- so lovable, cute, and playful. Thanks again, Dot A
