Sumary is being returned to rescue by her adoptive owners due to her calcium deposit on her knee and the fact that she will now require a medication (like a Buteless supplement) before & after being ridden as well as in cold weather to keep her pain free
15 year old flea bitten grey mare Arab/Quarter Horse cross - 15'1 hands - this is a wonderful mare with a very good temperament. She has been very well cared for and is a very easy keeper.
Sumary is semi sound for riding due to a calcium deposit on her knee, and loves the trails. She has been used for lessons in past years as well as trail riding up Stone Mountain and Dauton Park in North Carolina.
She ate something when she was 3 months old and coliced. We suspect either a poisonous plant or lime used on her stall floor. Her legs swelled up so large that they had to be drained by the vet. She has large scars from this, but it causes her no problems at all. Vaseline is put on her scars in the wintertime to keep them from chapping.
She is also missing a tooth, and her teeth do not wear away properly. Her teeth need to be floated at least once a year.
No bad habits. Up to date on all shots
Adoption fee of $400 will apply
