Buddy is a 7-year-old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix weighing in at just 11.2 pounds, but don’t let his size fool you—this former street dog from Texas has a big personality and an even bigger heart!

After fending for himself on the streets, Buddy is now learning what it's like to be safe and loved. He’s completely vetted and ready to start his new chapter. He’s still working on his housetraining, but with patience and consistency, he’s making progress. Buddy loves people and will happily be your little shadow. He’s also great with cats and rides like a champ in the car.

Buddy is food aggressive due to his rough past and must be fed separately from other pets—but once mealtime is over, he’s back to being his happy little self. He’s an excellent alert dog who will let you know when something’s going on, but he’s not a constant barker.
