Work of Art is a 15 year old thoroughbred gelding who fractured his splint bone in his rear left leg this past July. He is currently at Stonehouse Stables in Toano, Virginia and needs a home as his owner is leaving for college. Shown Hunter/Jumper for the last 2 years and he was previously owned by another girl at barn who showed him for years. He easily jumps 3' 2, knows lead changes and does well on the flat - he is very responsive and not TOO much of a horse for a thoroughbred - he LOVES to show (and pouts when he isn't) and gets his strides right when his rider does... He won't come out of the open stall without being asked and loves to reach into pockets for anything that might interest him. He grooms easily, doesn't bite or kick. He has never coliced, travels well and loves to throw off shoes during the rainy season. Current vet information from Tidewater Equine is available. He stands, clips, loads, gets along well with other horses, and loves children. Art is a people horse with a huge heart and a great personality. Art has been loved dearly but it is time to find him a better home than we can currently provide.
